Propane Furnaces

Propane furnaces are preferred 4 to 1 over electric heat pumps. High-efficiency propane heating systems keep you warm and comfortable on the coldest of days. If you are tired of paying high energy bills and are still cold during the winter, switch to a high efficient propane furnace system today.

Propanel is America's nr 1 choice for home heating. It is clean, efficient, reliable and easy to maintain. Propane will add value to your home in a variety of ways. Highland Propane Company can assist you in this project by offering you our contractor referral program to obtain written estimates from HVAC contractors in the area we serve.

In today's world, it is very important that you have the most efficient heating system possible. We suggest that you get at least three written estimates on your heating system.

Depending upon your needs, today's propane heating equipment includes a wide choice of boilers, furnaces, direct heating and a combination of systems available for your home. The new 90+ furnace systems do not need a conventional chimney to vent into. It uses PVC vent pipe and usually vents just outside your foundation wall to the outside air. Your heating contractor can assist you in choosing the right style furnace system for your home.

I would not recommend propane at this time. Currently we are paying $2.99 per gallon, plus tax, and it's costing me a fortune. I live in Phoenix, AZ, which is never cold really, and I'm paying about $350 a month right now. My home is 3,100 sq ft and it is very energy efficient and insulated well above what is normally installed. We're currently investigating the cost to replace the propane units with electric.

If anyone has any ideas on what we might do to help us reduce the cost of propane heat, and propane water heat, please let us know. Right now we're reviewing an electric unit that sits above the A-coil, and allows one to use either the propane, or the electric. This way, if propane ever becomes more cost effective, we can easily switch back.
