Correct operation?

I need to know how a furnace works? Our gas furnace ( 1 yr. Old) operates like this. The fan comes on, the igniter comes on, the flame comes on- goes off- the blower comes on, then the igniter comes on again, the flame comes on again Blower still running while the flame is on. It runs for a while like this, then the flame goes off. The blower goes form a while. Repeat cycle. Is this sequence correct?
