I have a three year old Tappan 90% furnace. | |
It wont fire unless I pull the top pressure valve line off. It will run with this line off and plugged. I installed a new one and its still wont run with the line plugged on the nopple. Any suggestions?

check exhaust and intake pipes for obstruction. check all condensate lines for blockage and proper flow, may even ha ve blockage in secondary heat exchanger. remote chance of a problem with the primary heat exchanger.
remember your issue is with a safety switch which is doing what it is intended to do. shut the furnace down when a problem occurs.
call a qualified contractor.
