oil smell around furnace

my niece has a peerless furnace and suddenly they are getting the smell of oil fumes. she has had a repair service in several times and they are not able to find the problem. there isn't any leak, they have changed the oil feed lline, the filter, the motor, made certain everything is clean and still they have the smell. help, is this smell harmful.
