have a goodman furnace, runs for 9 seconds, turns off

put new thermostat in and still turns on for about 9-12 seconds. the gas comes on, flams are good blue color, it clicks, then turns off, but will restart on own. it seems to ignite without a problem, gas is flowing through vale without problem. what is the problem?
